Pind Badhni Kalan has gone with a vast development in the last 25 years, when I visted two years ago (2010) after 28yrs I was very much surprised to see these changes. Well Done to all.

Interesting Information on Moga Moga became part and headquarter of 17th District in the state, Moga district of Punjab State on 24th day of November 1995, by then Chief Minister Harcharan Singh Brar. Moga town is situated on the National Highway 95 (NH-95 Ferozpur-Ludhiana road). The area of Dharamkot block with 150 villages has been merged into Moga district, which falls under the jurisdiction of Ferozpur division. Moga was founded by Moga Singh Gill a forefather of the Gill community. Then this city went to the hands of his two sons Moga Ajit Singh Gill and Moga Mahala Singh Gill. Moga is located at 30.8°N 75.17°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 217 metres (711 ft).Moga district is bordered by Jalandhar district in the north, Ludhiana district in the East, Sangrur in the South and Faridkot and Ferozpur in the West. It stretches between longitude 75 degree - 15, 75 degree - 25 east and latitude 30 degree - 35 and 31 degree 15 North. It spreads over an area on 2230 km2, which comes to 4.42% of the Punjab State. The average annual rainfall of district was 234.5 mm by the year 1999. It is located 368 km from New Delhi,184 km from Chandigarh,67 km from Ludhiana,110 km from Amritsar,85 km from Bathinda and 1600 km from Mumbai.

After the filing of nomination papers, both by Congress nominee Vijay Kumar Sathi and SAD-BJP alliance candidate and turncoat Joginderpal Jain on Saturday, the focus of key political parties has shifted to Moga. All senior leaders of Congress, including Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh, CLP leader Sunil Kumar Jakhar and most of the MLAs, shifted their headquarters at Moga. Similarly all senior SAD-BJP leaders also started arriving here, bringing life to the nondescript district of the state. However, it looks to be a direct fight between Sathi and Jain, who, after resigning from the Congress, had joined the Shiromani Akali Dal on December 26. This step of Jain necessitated the bypoll. Sathi's nomination has left supporters of other likely contenders, including Punjab Congress Mahila chief Malti Thapar and former Congress minister Darshan Singh Brar, unhappy, making things difficult for the Congress. Jain, too, is facing difficulty in taking along the SAD-BJP leaders as just a year ago he had defeated the alliance candidate, former DGP Paramdeep Singh Gill, party's insiders claim. In 1997 and 2002 polls, Akali Dal veteran leader Tota Singh had won the Moga seat, while Jain wrested it for the Congress in 2007 and 2012.
